My area is fortunate in terms of both geography and culture. Along with the locals, there are eleven different ethnic communities present. The Almighty has blessed us with lush hills and untamed streams. In Bandarban, where I completed my primary, high school, and upper secondary education, I had the happiest recollections. Later, in 2012, I relocated to Noakhali, one of Bangladesh’s coastal districts. I finished my BSc in Fisheries Science there at Noakhali Science and Technology University’s Department of Fisheries Resource Management. There, I met several talented individuals with whom I spent over six years. I moved to Chittagong in 2017 and was accepted into the MS in Fisheries Resource Management programme in 2018. I received my MS degree in September 2019. In my professional life, I worked as a Master Trainer for the Bandarban Hill District Council’s Agriculture and Food Security-III and Support to Host Communities Affected by Rohingya Influx Project (SHARIP) from February 2019 to November 2022. Additionally, I served as the SHARIP programme’s Agroforestry Component Focal Person. The United Nations Development Programme in Bangladesh (UNDP) provided technical assistance for both programmes, while the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA) provided financial funding. Both of these initiatives belonged to Bangladesh’s Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs. The high hills, expansive blue sky and variety of living styles in the area where I was born have inspired me to go in search of something special, worthwhile and useful. I have always been fascinated by exploring natural resources because I grew up in a setting rich in culture. My passion was brought on by my scholastic background.
